Working Pattern: 9-day fortnight with every other Friday off
Ultra I&C's Communications business is recruiting for a full-time Wire Person to join the team at our first-class facility in Tring. As Prototype Wire Person, you will be working within a small team to produce high quality satellite communications equipment to required standards and timescales. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain BPSS security clearance.
Key Responsibilities:- Electro-Mechanical Assembly.
- Building sub-assemblies and complete systems to drawings and build procedures within Ultra Communications.
- Continuously monitor product quality during build to improve upon production performance targets.
- Panel wiring
- Cabling assembly and crimping
- Rack Wiring
- PCB Assembly
- Assembly and re-work of components
- Wiring test boxes
- Soldering, Through Hole, Surface mount components
- Manage security of information as defined in the Information Security Policy
- Experience of electrical /mechanical assembly and wiring, including prototype wiring.
- You take pride in attention to detail, maintain high standards and can work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read Electrical / Mechanical drawings and work accurately to procedures.
- Creative thinker and eager learner
- Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance.
