Responsibilities
- Develops and implements an EH&S management system to include risk assessments, safety tours, hazard identification, accident/near miss/incident investigation and reporting.
- Identifies and implements metrics for assigned facility(ies).
- Provides advice on maintenance and improvement of safe systems of work and influences site leadership to achieve the business certification aspirations (e.g., ISO 14001, 45001).
- Prepares and analyzes monthly EH&S reports for leadership at the assigned site(s) including providing benchmark to industry norm comparison and KPI data.
- Engages and motivates site leadership and employees through EH&S events, communications, safety walls, town hall meetings, regular safety notices, and toolbox talks.
- Manages EH&S training program and delivers on the EHS objectives, targets and challenges progress of associated program plans aligned to the business safety strategy.
- Oversees compliance of EH&S regulatory requirements, liaises with relevant authorities and provides expert advice to leadership.
Qualifications
- Typically, a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a related field and related experience in risk and hazard identification and analysis as well as audits, safety inspections and accident investigation with experience as a people leader.
- Prefer experience in implementing ISO14001 and ISO 45001 certification.
- To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years' residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
