The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.

We are looking for an EHS Manager to provide EHS leadership to the site and be accountable for directing EHS activities at the location. This includes establishing EHS objectives and targets, reporting EHS performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and operation of the Health, Safety and Environmental management system, including risk assessments, inspections, incident investigations, internal and external auditing, lagging and leading metrics, training and development, and employee engagement.
  • Champion the safety culture at the site through coaching and influencing the leadership team to achieve external and internal standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement in EHS through risk and environmental impact reduction at the site, ensuring compliance with regulatory, company standards, and best practices.
  • Maintain site ISO certifications.
  • Ensure EHS metrics are reported accurately and on time.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance through regular reviews.
  • Develop annual objectives and targets.
  • Determine appropriate lagging and leading metrics to measure objectives and targets.
  • Create and facilitate EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees to achieve the annual objectives.
  • Create training matrices and ensure all EHS training needs are defined and tracked to completion.
  • Work with the site leadership team to ensure that all EHS operational controls are in place and tracked.

Qualifications / Experience

  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) or IEMA Associate Certificate in Environmental Management or working towards one.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective team building skills and a demonstrated ability to lead and influence at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and track those projects to completion.
  • Demonstrated leadership attributes: ethical, passionate, accountable, learner, transparent.

Nationality Requirements

Candidates must be able to work in the UK without restrictions in accordance with UK National Law and must be prepared to undergo an appropriate level of UK National Security Vetting according to UK Government National Security Vetting criteria.
