Job Description
The Assistant Accountant provides support to the finance team and wider business with monthly management accounts reporting, treasury management and balance sheet reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Treasury management, bank reconciliations, daily cash book tracking and month end cash reporting.
- Production and maintenance of month end balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support to be provided to accounts team for more complex balance sheet accounts.
- Management of fixed asset register.
- Calculation and processing of general ledger journals.
- Analysis of administrative expenditure and partnering with budget holders to support them in managing the expenditure.
- Ensure that relevant and timely financial information is made available to the company in a format that meets the expectations/requirements of internal and external customers.
- Continuously challenge the way we work and actively identify areas of where change can improve the performance within Finance and in the way this department serves others in the company.
- Make the identified changes as quickly as practical.
- Participate in, and support, company-wide change initiatives.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
