Overview

In this Senior HR Business Partner role, you will shape and deliver the people agenda for Ultra Communications UK, aligning with the Global HR Team and UK Leadership Team. You’ll drive performance, culture, and development across multiple sites, with a view to integration with global operations. The role offers strategic influence, cross-border collaboration, and high-impact people initiatives in a defence-focused, agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Shape and deliver the UK people agenda in collaboration with the Global HR Team and UK Leadership Team
  • Drive organisational performance and strengthen culture across UK sites
  • Lead organisational development and implement performance and development frameworks
  • Support cross-location integration and alignment with Canada, USA, and UK operations
  • Influence strategy and high-level decision making; balance strategic planning with tactical execution
  • Occasionally travel to different sites as needed
  • Contribute to building a scalable, resilient HR function for growth and transformation

Key requirements

  • Extensive HRBP experience in complex, multi-site environments, preferably within defence, engineering, or manufacturing
  • CIPD Level 7 or equivalent; MCIPD desirable; coaching qualifications advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law; experience managing complex employee relations matters
  • Proven ability to shape culture, lead change, and implement development frameworks
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills; ability to influence at all levels
  • Experience developing HR policies, leading recruitment and retention strategies, and using HR data to inform decisions
  • Ability to obtain and maintain BPSS or SC clearance
  • Willingness to travel across UK sites and internationally
