We are looking for a Senior / AI Technical Lead to shape the future of AI at IFS Ultimo. You’ll play a central role in building our next‑generation agentic AI framework, enabling autonomous, intelligent operations in industrial asset management. From onboarding assets to optimizing maintenance and stock, our platform will empower AI agents to support technicians with real‑time, context‑aware intelligence. This is a hands‑on and strategic position, ideal for someone who combines a strong software or ML engineering foundation with a passion for agent‑based systems, scalable infrastructure, and applied AI.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Architecture & Strategy: Define the technical direction of our AI platform with a focus on scalable deployment, vector databases, semantic tech, and system integration.
- AI Solution Ownership: Lead the design and development of AI solutions from proof‑of‑concept to production using industry best practices.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and business teams to embed AI into Ultimo’s SaaS platform.
- AI Leadership & Advocacy: Promote cutting‑edge AI internally and externally, support university partnerships, write thought leadership, and attract top AI talent.
Who You Are
You’re a hands‑on technical leader with a strong understanding of AI/ML platforms, agent orchestration, and scalable deployment. You have experience leading projects from experimentation to production, ideally in a SaaS or industrial tech environment. You thrive in fast‑moving teams, are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy working across disciplines. You’re passionate about solving real‑world problems through applied AI, and building solutions that scale.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in ML or software engineering, with completed AI/ML projects in production.
- Experience with agentic frameworks (e.g. Microsoft Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI) and building AI orchestration logic.
- Strong background in AI system design, MLOps, DevOps, and model lifecycle management.
- Solid programming experience in Python; C# is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non‑technical teams.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Able to make sound technical architecture decisions under pressure.
