Senior Technical Consultant – MSP

Location: Hertfordshire / Client Sites

Salary: £50,000–£55,000 + benefits

An established and growing Managed Service Provider is looking for a Senior Technical Consultant to take ownership of client onboarding, technical projects and 3rd-line escalations.

/n

This is a senior, client-facing role suited to someone who enjoys owning projects from discovery and planning through to implementation, sign-off and handover.

/n

Key Responsibilities

/n

/n
- Lead technical onboarding of new MSP clients.
/n
- Own IT projects from scope through to delivery and handover.
/n
- Deliver Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Entra ID, SharePoint, networking and infrastructure projects.
/n
- Provide 3rd-line technical escalation support.
/n
- Attend client meetings and site visits, providing technical consultancy.
/n
- Support pre-sales discovery, solution design and project scoping.
/n
- Maintain strong project documentation, ticketing and time management.
/n
- Identify technical risks and ensure smooth handover to the Service Desk.
/n

Key Requirements

/n

/n
- Previous MSP / managed services experience in a senior engineering, consultancy or project role.
/n
- Proven ownership of client onboarding and IT projects.
/n
- Strong Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune and Entra ID experience.
/n
- Good knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, firewalls, virtualisation and security.
/n
- Hands-on experience supporting Apple Mac/macOS in a business environment.
/n
- Strong client-facing and communication skills.
/n
- Organised, commercially aware and able to manage multiple projects.
/n
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
