Class 2 General Haulage Driver
Ultimate Workforce Ltd is recruiting Class 2 General Haulage Drivers on behalf of a well-established and long-standing client in Ely, East Cambridgeshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and professional drivers looking for ongoing work with a respected transport operation.
You'll be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and delivery of goods to and from the client's central hub.
Drivers are assigned their own vehicle, and additional refrigerated (fridge) work is available for those interested.
- £18.09 per hour Monday - Friday £19.09 - Saturday £20.09 - Sunday
- Shift Pattern
- 12-hour shifts expected
Key Responsibilities
- Complete daily vehicle checks and promptly report any defects.
- Ensure all loads are correctly secured before transport.
- Safely and efficiently deliver and collect goods in line with planned schedules.
- Obtain and complete all Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and roadworthy vehicle at all times.
- Follow company policies and procedures, keeping the transport office informed of any issues or potential delays.
Essential Requirements
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence.
- Driver Qualification Card (CPC/DQC) and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good understanding of EU Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of work.
- Flexible approach and positive, can-do attitude.
- Professional, customer-focused manner with excellent communication skills.
