We are currently recruiting for reliable and dependable HGV Class 1 drivers to join our experienced and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers to join a prestigious client of ours for the safe and efficient delivery of ambient, palletised food products.

This is a tramping role, with full-time and part-time positions available. This work will involve tautliners, with some general haulage work required. On occasion, some travel out of Wimblington may be necessary.

Pay:
  • Monday to Friday £16.25
  • Saturday £17.37
  • Sunday £18.49
  • Nights out £25.00
  • Minimum 8 hour pay per shift
Duties:
  • Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork for each delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any issues or repairs needed promptly.
Job role:
  • Full UK Driving Licence with C+E Entitlement
  • Current DQC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Minimum 1 years' commercial driving experience
  • Must be punctual and reliable at all times
  • No more than 6 penalty points (No DD's or DR's)
  • A sound knowledge of Drivers Hours' and Working Time Directive Legislation
  • Be smart and well presented at all times
Schedule:

Weekdays and weekends are available, with flexible AM and PM start times. The typical day will involve a 12-hour shift.
