We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join our transport operation. This role is responsible for monitoring and managing trailer resources across the business, ensuring the correct trailer types are available to meet operational requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with transport teams, using our transport management system, Axscend, to track trailer utilisation, availability, and future requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Track and monitor trailer availability and utilisation.
- Ensure the correct trailer types are allocated to operational requirements.
- Identify shortages or surpluses and escalate where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records within the Axscend system.
- Produce and maintain operational reports and management information.
- Support the wider transport and administration teams with data analysis and reporting.
- Raise and process purchase orders (POs).
- Receipt and reconcile invoices against purchase orders.
- Complete subcontractor reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Support weekly and monthly payroll administration.
- Maintain accurate transport and financial records.
- Produce reports and management information as required.
- Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers/subcontractors.
- Provide general administrative support to the transport management team.
- Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or fleet administration environment.
- Strong Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
- Experience working with transport management systems (Axscend experience desirable but not essential).
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple departments.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and resource planning.
- Experience with purchase orders, invoicing, and reconciliations.
- Knowledge of payroll administration processes.
