Ultimate Performance is the global leader in Personal Training with studios from Sydney to Los Angeles. Following our 2024 private‑equity acquisition, we are scaling rapidly and building the financial infrastructure needed to support our next phase of global growth. With a strengthened leadership team, a major rebrand set for January 2026, and significant investment in systems and processes, the momentum is real.

As we expand, our finance function is evolving into a strategic powerhouse. Treasury, cash management, and financial leadership play a pivotal role in guiding the organisation. This is a unique opportunity to shape how we manage liquidity, strengthen banking relationships, and support key commercial decisions across the group.

What We Offer

We’re building something extraordinary and want exceptional financial leaders to be part of it.

Are you a driven finance professional ready to lead a high‑performing team in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment? We’re looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to join our Manchester Head Office in a pivotal leadership role overseeing group‑wide financial reporting, treasury, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a finance team of six, including a Financial Accountant, Purchase Ledger Manager, and Finance Assistants, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion team development through mentoring, coaching, and structured performance management.
  • Own monthly and annual financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions and entities, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery.
  • Manage group audit and tax compliance, working closely with external advisors and auditors.
  • Deliver robust balance sheet and cash‑flow forecasting, partnering with FP&A to drive confident decision‑making.
  • Lead group‑wide treasury operations, including global cash flow management, banking relationships, covenant forecasting, and liquidity planning.
  • Implement smart cash optimisation strategies, ensuring funds are efficiently deployed to support rapid growth and operational excellence.
  • Oversee group debt, equity, and financial obligations, maintaining tight controls and complete visibility across the organisation.
  • Provide high‑quality financial insights to senior leadership, shaping commercial and strategic decisions.
  • Support the Head of Finance and Finance Director with ad‑hoc analysis, insurance oversight, and company secretarial duties.
  • Drive continuous improvement, enhancing processes, strengthening reporting frameworks, and elevating internal controls as we scale.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent).
  • Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and controls.
  • Demonstrable treasury experience, ideally across multi‑entity or international environments, including cash management, banking oversight, and debt monitoring.
  • Experience managing and developing high‑performing teams.
  • Process‑driven mindset with a passion for improvement and operational excellence.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

What We Value

Results‑Driven: You focus on outcomes that genuinely move the needle.

Own It: You take full ownership, wins, failures, and everything in between.

Passion for Progress: You’re driven by growth, not just the finish line.

Supportive & Personalised: You adapt your approach because no two people (or challenges) are the same.

Benefits

  • Pension scheme: salary sacrifice with employer contributions
  • Electric vehicle scheme
  • Simply Health policy: claim back costs for dental, optical, physio, massage & more
  • Exclusive UP discounts, including 40% off our supplements, books, and partner offers
  • Personal Training discounts: up to 50% off our world‑class transformation programme (up to 36 sessions a year) for you and a loved one
  • Salary sacrifice benefits: Cycle to Work, Tech, and Home schemes
  • Employee Assistance Programme: free 24/7 mental health, counselling, and financial advice
  • Free group fitness classes at our Manchester gym in Spinningfields
