We're looking for a commercially minded Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Finance team and play a key role in helping the business make smarter, data-driven decisions. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant, or a strong part-qualified professional, looking to move into a commercially focused finance role where you'll influence business performance across multiple departments.
As part of our Commercial Finance team, you'll:
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide commercial financial support and analysis.
- Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
- Produce insightful reporting and commentary to support trading reviews and leadership meetings.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
- Deliver meaningful variance analysis against budgets, forecasts and prior periods.
- Build strong relationships with non-finance teams, helping them understand the financial impact of business decisions.
- Support business cases, commercial projects and strategic initiatives through detailed financial analysis.
- Help improve reporting, dashboards and financial models, driving greater efficiency and better decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes through automation, AI and technology.
What we’re looking for:
- Newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA status, or strong part-qualified experience.
- Previous experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Management Accounting or Financial Analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial models.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for improving reporting, processes and business performance.
- Experience within a multi-site, international, retail, hospitality, fitness or service-led business.
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting and management reporting cycles.
- Experience using reporting tools, dashboards or business intelligence platforms.
- An interest in AI, automation and technology to improve finance processes.
- Experience analysing operational KPIs and commercial performance.
