Are you an experienced Arrears individual, who also enjoys training teams to reach their full potential? Our client is a mortgage and savings provider who always puts their customers first. They have an excellent opportunity for a Collections Supervisor to join their team, overseeing and developing the collections team to provide a first-class service to all customers. This is a 9-12 month FTC.

Whilst you will be responsible for training, you will also have your own case load of vulnerable customers, getting involved in the day-to-day duties of the team.

Duties of the Collections Supervisor will include:

  • To ensure the team provide an effective and efficient arrears and collections service, ensuring borrowers are treated fairly and provided with affordable solutions for any financial difficulties.
  • To ensure that all mailings and borrower communications are sent out in a timely manner, are accurate and comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • To be responsible for the management and progress of repossession cases ensuring that all litigation and possession activities are in line with policy and procedures and in accordance with regulatory requirements and Pre-action Protocol.
  • To assist in the maintenance of staff training and competency and quality framework, monitoring the competency and performance of staff.
  • To fully embrace the organisations behavioural framework ensuring that all staff have regular performance assessments that are constructive, with individual objectives being linked to the departmental and corporate plan.
  • To be generative in identifying, assessing, controlling, monitoring, and reporting all relevant risks including all operational and conduct areas, ensuring the controls in place to mitigate the risks are robust and functioning effectively.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Previous collections/arrears experience within financial services
  • Leading/coaching a team

Due to the nature of the role, they do ideally require weekly office presence of circa 1-2 days per week. They are open to further flexibility on this, depending on circumstances.
