Our client is an established and successful specialist mortgage lender within the Buy-to-Let (BTL) lending space. The successful hire will manage and grow relationships with high-value landlords, retain existing lending business, and identify refinancing or additional borrowing opportunities. This is an exciting new opportunity within the business for an experienced relationship-led, commercially focused individual. The role sits between account management, lending advisory, and strategic portfolio growth.
Responsibilities
- Managing and growing relationships with high-value landlords, delivering proactive support across refinancing, borrowing and key portfolio events.
- Conducting strategic portfolio reviews to uncover opportunities, including transferring lending from competitors.
- Working closely with Operations, Credit, Risk and Intermediaries to deliver smooth customer journeys and tailored lending solutions.
- Identifying opportunities across residential and commercial development, referring where appropriate.
- Sharing market insights and maintaining accurate portfolio records to support future growth and proposition development.
Key Requirements
- Relationship management experience from within financial services, property lending, private banking, or wealth management.
- Strong Buy-to-Let and landlord market knowledge, with a sharp understanding of trends, regulation, and competition.
- Data-led and commercially focused, identifying growth opportunities and delivering strong customer outcomes.
- Trusted relationship builder with a track record of managing high-value clients and stakeholders.
- Risk-aware and collaborative, balancing commercial success with customer and regulatory needs.
- Ideally you will understand the mortgage underwriting process and criteria.
