Five years ago, this team set out to bring transparency to the environmental impact of the digital world, focusing on a problem most businesses could not yet see. Today, that vision is gaining real traction. Enterprise adoption is growing, the market is catching up, and the business is stepping into a more global, commercial phase.
What has not changed is how they think about growth. It is not driven by noise. It is built through connection. Now, they are looking for a Community and Events Lead to build that connection layer from the ground up. This is not an events role with community added on. This is a community first mandate. A true zero to one build, where you will define how the brand engages its audience day to day.
From creating and nurturing communities across platforms like Slack, Discord or WhatsApp, to shaping communication across the entire customer lifecycle, you will own every touchpoint. How people enter, how they engage, how they stay, and how they advocate. Events are the extension, not the starting point. You will bring these communities together through curated moments, from small executive dinners to roundtables and a flagship London series. Every interaction should feel connected, intentional, and commercially meaningful.
You will operate like a founder’s associate for this function. Setting the strategy, executing the detail, working cross functionally with sales, product, and marketing, and acting as a senior voice internally. You will use data and feedback to constantly refine the approach, ensuring everything ladders up to engagement, retention, and pipeline impact.
Success is a highly engaged, self sustaining community that drives real commercial value, with events that amplify it. You likely come from a B2B SaaS or high growth environment, with experience building communities or engagement programmes from scratch. You are hands on, commercially minded, and energised by ownership. Comfortable with ambiguity, confident with stakeholders, and motivated by the opportunity to build something properly.
