We are partnering with a leading UK media business to hire two agency-facing commercial professionals into its growing sales team. This is a senior, hands-on sales role focused on growing agency investment, building new relationships and identifying new commercial opportunities across digital, data, social, video, audio and traditional media. The successful candidate will own a portfolio of agency relationships, carry a personal revenue target and play a key role in shaping new propositions and supporting the wider commercial team.

The role

  • Build and grow senior relationships across UK media agencies
  • Deliver against personal revenue and growth targets
  • Identify new business opportunities and open previously closed doors
  • Develop relationships with planning, buying, investment and trading teams
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and secure incremental agency spend
  • Sell integrated solutions across digital, data, social, video, audio and traditional media
  • Build and manage a clear sales pipeline with accurate forecasting
  • Identify market opportunities and help develop new commercial propositions
  • Work closely with planning, strategy, operations and product teams
  • Support and mentor more junior members of the commercial team
  • Contribute to the wider agency sales strategy

The person

You will be an experienced agency-facing commercial professional with a strong track record of revenue delivery and new-business growth. You are likely to come from a publisher, broadcaster, media owner, digital platform, data business, sales house or agency-facing advertising technology company. You will bring:

  • Strong relationships across UK media agencies
  • A proven record of delivering against revenue targets
  • Clear examples of winning new business and increasing agency investment
  • Experience selling digital media, data or integrated advertising solutions
  • Strong knowledge of agency planning, buying, trading and investment structures
  • Confidence selling across multiple channels and formats
  • Good understanding of programmatic, first-party data and social platforms
  • Strong pipeline management, forecasting and negotiation skills
  • Experience contributing to new products, propositions or commercial solutions
  • The ability to remain a hands-on seller while supporting others
