Qualification: PPE required, Own safety shoes and overalls. All other PPE provided.

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8am - 16.30, Friday 7am - 3pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welding: Performing TIG welding on a variety of materials (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum) to coded standards. This includes butt welds, fillet welds, and other joint configurations.
  • Fabrication: Assembling components and structures according to engineering drawings, often involving pipework, pressure vessels, or other fabrications.
  • Interpretation of Drawings and Specifications: Reading and understanding welding procedure specifications (WPS), engineering drawings, and other technical documents to ensure proper execution of welds.
  • Quality Control: Ensuring all welds meet specified quality standards and pass any necessary inspections.
  • Safety Compliance: Following all safety procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Material Selection: Choosing appropriate welding materials (e.g., filler rods, shielding gas) based on the materials being welded and the specified welding procedure.
