Car Spare Distribution. The Assistant Manager in motor spares distribution involves supporting the Branch/Parts Manager in daily operations, driving sales, managing inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service. Reporting to the branch manager, we are a family business with hands-on directors who are in branch daily. We are seeking someone with tenacity to aid the branch manager in increasing productivity and assisting with all areas of the business to enhance profitability.

Basic Salary: £30k Basic Plus £5200 Per annum OTE - bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Target Achievement: Assisting in the development and implementation of strategies to maximize sales and meet branch targets.
- Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, ensuring a first-class service and promptly addressing their needs.
- Team Leadership and Management: Leading, motivating, and supervising the branch team; assisting with staff training, performance reviews, and general HR tasks.
- Operations Management: Overseeing the day-to-day running of the branch, including managing running costs, cash handling, and ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and all health and safety regulations within the depot.
- Reporting and Administration: Utilizing computer systems for inventory management and general administration, and preparing reports on performance and inventory status for senior management.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Motor Industry Knowledge: Proven experience within the motor industry and in-depth knowledge of automotive parts and accessories is not essential.
- Management & Leadership: Strong management, communication, and leadership skills are required to motivate a team effectively.
- Customer Service Excellence: A focus on exceptional customer service and experience in building customer relationships is key.
- Organisational Skills: The ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage inventory efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Competence in using industry-specific computer systems and software relevant to motor factor operations.
Hours of work: 8.30 am - 5.30 pm Monday to Friday.
