We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join our Product Management department as a Product Manager – Combustion Solutions! As a Product Manager, you are responsible for ensuring competitive advantage by managing a future‑proof product strategy for your responsible product categories. You manage the technical and economic performance of the assigned product, portfolio or segment over the complete lifecycle and work cross‑functionally with business‑wide stakeholders, to further strengthen Bosch in your product category.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Product Strategy Development: Utilise your expertise in the UK heating market or Product Management techniques and work alongside market experts within the business to develop market leading product specifications, tailored to the UK market and specific customer needs. Conduct market & customer research, including both technical and commercial competitor analysis to identify trends, gaps and USPs. Initiate and execute User Experience (UX) activity to validate product concepts, features & benefits. Understand relevant regulations and standards for responsible product groups and factor them into your product specifications.
  • Product Development & Launch: Represent the Product Management function within product development projects. Develop requirements and insights to ensure the right product is delivered at the right quality and price position for the target market. Ensure features, benefits and USPs, and the advantage they bring, are communicated throughout the organisation and to key customer groups. Assist in co‑ordination of new product introductions with all relevant departments.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Co‑ordinate relevant functions to define and execute ongoing overarching product strategy comprising Product, Price, Place & Promotion for category. Continuously review the product portfolio performance to ensure the portfolio remains relevant, considering price development, market trends, legislative drivers, customer needs & competitors’ activities. Make relevant changes to your product range including phase out of products deemed no longer relevant or competitive.
  • Portfolio Management: With relevant senior stakeholders, within both Sales Region and Product Areas (Business Units), contribute to the definition of a market‑leading portfolio strategy that fulfils the commercial and growth objectives of the wider business. Collaborate closely with individual Product Managers and steer them accordingly to ensure common goals are aligned, understood, and achieved, ensuring the entire portfolio ‘fits’ in a considered, cohesive way. Take care of price analysis and strategically position the products and define price/revenue scenarios based on business goals, predecessor products and segmentation strategies. Understand relevant regulations and standards for responsible product groups and factor them into your product specifications.
  • Segment Proposition Management: Co‑ordinate relevant functions to and lead process to define overarching segment strategy comprising Product, Service, Price, Place & Promotion for responsible market segment. Utilise Value Proposition, Business Model Management & Segmentation tools to develop and secure competitive advantage within your market segment of responsibility. Ownership of segment delivery roadmaps. Communicate, justify and prioritise key objectives and deliverables for relevant functions to ensure execution of overarching strategy. Actively remove obstacles that prohibit execution of objectives for relevant functions. Co‑ordinate and account the progress and status of segment deliverables to key stakeholders including HC/SGB Management team and HC business units.

Qualifications

Education requirements: Educated to degree level in relevant field (e.g. Product, Business Management, Marketing, Engineering) or equivalent. Experience within UK HVAC industry, preferable though not essential. Experience working within Product Management, Business Development or Marketing functions.

Skills & Attributes: The perfect candidate brings a balance of business/commercial expertise alongside an appreciation, or experience of, product management in a manufacturing or engineering setting. Core competencies required:

  • Strategic Foresight: The ability to analyse complex market landscapes, foresee future trends, define compelling visions for product, categories, and segments, and translate these into actionable, long‑term strategies that drive growth and competitive advantage.
  • Market & Customer Centricity: Deep expertise in conducting thorough market and competitive analysis, understanding customer needs across different value classes, identifying unmet needs, and leveraging these insights to inform product positioning, differentiation, and development efforts.
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to influence, align, and motivate diverse internal teams (e.g., Sales, Engineering, Product Development) without direct authority, fostering a shared vision, resolving conflicts, and ensuring cohesive execution towards shared product or segment goals.
  • Commercial Acumen & Value Realization: A strong grasp of business models, pricing strategies, revenue optimisation, and key financial metrics (e.g., gross margins, market share). Makes data‑driven decisions to maximise profitability and overall business success for their assigned areas.
  • Technical Acumen: The ability to understand underlying technologies, architectural implications, and technical trade‑offs, enabling effective collaboration with engineering and the translation of complex technical details into clear business‑oriented insights and requirements for product decisions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Influence: The capacity to clearly articulate complex strategies, product value propositions, technical challenges and progress updates to diverse audiences, from technical teams to senior leadership.

Working Hours: 39 hours per week – standard working pattern of 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 16:00 Friday with a 1-hour lunchbreak.
