Shift patterns: Nights Sunday to Thursday, 10pm to 6am

Location: Will be based at Daventry from July

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Take leadership responsibility for managing a safe and efficient transport environment.
  • Maximise the performance of drivers and supervisors by directing the nightly, weekly and monthly activities.
  • Analyse and understand health and safety related risks for our colleagues, taking action to reduce or eliminate these risks according to a prioritized plan.
  • Implement actions as directed to reduce or eliminate health and safety related risks.
  • Leverage Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) program as a daily way to confirm behaviours and processes.
  • Report and investigate incidents within the workplace and respond to or escalate issues of non-compliance to safety regulations and procedures.
  • Implement and supervise the adherence of up-to-date processes, work instructions, standard operating procedures and associated forms to achieve prescribed outputs.
  • Continuously contribute to the improvement of procedures to better achieve the prescribed outputs.
  • Liaise with suppliers based on business requirements, monitor performance and where necessary, propose improvements to line manager and implement agreed improvement actions.
  • Participate in customer, regulatory and internal operational audits as required and work with the team to implement the agreed action plan.
  • Conduct regular reviews on operational performance and delivery against the agreed KPIs.
  • Escalate any areas of non-compliance or failure to line manager and where applicable escalate to the senior team.
  • Management of Subcontractor and help implement agreed processes to review performance.
  • Lead regular operational performance reviews with colleagues with focus on H&S and Legal Compliance, overall efficiency of the operation in line with targets and performance via Performance Dialogs.
  • Foster Collaboration: Build a strong team culture that values communication, accountability and teamwork.
