Rexroth is one of the world’s leading specialists in the field of drive and control technologies. Under the brand name of Rexroth, the company supplies customers with tailored solutions for driving, controlling and moving industrial applications, factory automation equipment, mobile applications and renewable power generation. At our plant in Glenrothes, Scotland we design, develop and produce radial piston motors working in partnership with world renowned international OEMs in industries such as material handling, construction and forestry machinery.
You will acquire an in-depth insight and understanding of the engineering of Hydraulic Motors and Mobile Hydraulics.
- Support the technical engineering team
- Communicate with internal stakeholders to collate and analyse relevant data
- Perform FEA & Fatigue Analysis and technical assessments
- Improve department methodologies
- Support Design verification and validation activities
- Prepare technical reports, presentations and recommendations
- Investigate engineering problems and identify root causes
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, project and engineering teams
Qualifications
Essential:
- Good quality Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree.
- Aptitude for analytical calculations and appreciation of stress analysis, mechanics and material properties
- Basic knowledge of FEA principles and numerical methods
- Willingness to learn and develop expertise in simulation methodologies, industry standards, and engineering best practices
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly through discussions, reports, and presentations
Desirable:
- Experience of using FEA software (such as Abaqus, Ansys, etc.) through academic projects or internships
- Basic understanding of fatigue and fracture mechanics
- Experience with Matlab and/or Python for data analysis and scripting
