At Linde Material Handling, a global leader in forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, we are looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in the Chesterfield patch area‑S42, S43, S44, S45. We are interested in candidates with experience as vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers, particularly those who have worked as forklift technicians, plant fitters, plant technicians, or vehicle technicians. Experience with plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles, or industrial cleaners is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and rectify faults across a range of material handling equipment, from small pallet trucks to counterbalance trucks, Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) trucks, and automated trucks.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and service Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at customer sites.

Qualifications

  • Background in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulics engineering.
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
  • Full UK driving licence (Field and Resident Engineers only).
  • Experience in forklift, plant fitting, or vehicle technician roles.
  • Proficiency with IT systems and record‑keeping.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
