We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to join our Renewables team based in London who will support our existing large scale European repowering development and other value-creation initiatives, especially in the German speaking market.

What you do

  • Support repowering development and other value-creation activities (such as battery hybridisation) in Germany, Austria, and other markets; both for internal and third-party investors.
  • Manage local development partners and Allianz external consultants (legal, tax, technical) during development process.
  • Support ongoing decision-making process during development by providing financial analysis of development opportunity.
  • Oversee land lease securing strategy and permitting process.
  • Support during implementation process including negotiation and execution of construction and long-term operation contracts; preparing offtake solution including analysis of government auctions and assessing PPA options; and assisting in negotiation of financing package if appropriate.
  • Assist with preparation of investment papers for internal approval processes with regard to economic analysis and presentation.
  • Development and finessing of project financial model and production of robust and dependable economic analysis and sensitivities.
  • Assist in providing analysis to support strategic decision making on direction of repowering and hybridisation portfolio.
  • Support Allianz internal reporting and communication cycles including regular investors and management meetings providing updates and insight to the development status.
  • Monitor market developments affecting the portfolio and analyse potential impact on development portfolio.

What you bring

  • Strong academic credentials with a relevant degree such as in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or Renewables & Finance and a keen interest in Energy transition and Renewable Energy.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in Renewables Transactions/Development or Asset Management in similar position at a leading developer, utility, or financial investor, ideally with a focus on acquisition and implementation of development pipelines.
  • Good understanding of Renewables asset valuation and contractual market standards.
  • Good understanding of legal, tax, accounting, regulatory and technical matters in relation to wind and solar assets.
  • Ability to follow technical, commercial, tax and legal discussions in regard to operational renewables assets.
  • Ability to think strategically with respect to optimisation of renewables assets, assessing financial engineering and structuring options.
  • Structured, diligent work approach and high degree of dedication.
  • Strong commercial judgment with experience of providing analysis and insight to aid commercial decisions.
  • Proficiency in English and German; knowledge of another European language beneficial.
  • Good knowledge of MS office software as well as Power BI AI Skill: Data Analytics.
