Following the exciting merger of Trustmarque and Ultima, we're building one of the UK's leading technology services organisations. As part of our continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Security Architect to join our Microsoft Security, Compliance & Identity Practice. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of Microsoft security technologies, helping customers solve complex security, compliance, and information governance challenges while designing innovative solutions that deliver real business value.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Security Architect, you'll work closely with customers, sales teams, and delivery consultants to design and implement secure, compliant, and scalable solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and architecting security and compliance solutions using Microsoft technologies
  • Leading customer workshops and technical discovery sessions
  • Producing high-quality architecture and solution design documentation
  • Providing technical leadership throughout project delivery
  • Supporting pre-sales activities, including proposals, demonstrations, and proof of concepts
  • Conducting security assessments and recommending remediation strategies
  • Designing solutions covering data security, information governance, monitoring, detection, and response
  • Staying ahead of emerging security threats, technologies, and industry best practice

What We're Looking For

We're seeking an experienced architect with a strong background in Microsoft security technologies and enterprise solution design.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years' experience designing and implementing Microsoft-based solutions
  • 5+ years working with Microsoft Security and Compliance technologies
  • 3+ years in a Solution Architect or Security Architect role
  • Strong expertise across:
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Microsoft 365
    • Microsoft Entra ID
    • Microsoft Defender XDR
    • Microsoft Purview
    • Microsoft Sentinel
  • Experience designing security monitoring, logging, and detection capabilities
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards including:
    • ISO 27001
    • NIST
    • GDPR
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions to complex security challenges

Desirable

  • Microsoft security certifications such as:
    • SC-100
    • SC-200
    • SC-300
    • SC-401
    • SC-500
    • AZ-500
  • Passion for continuous learning and staying current with emerging security trends
