We are seeking a skilled and client-focused Cloud Architect with deep expertise in Azure, DevOps, and Terraform to join our team. This role combines hands-on cloud architecture and delivery with Technical Account Management responsibilities for key clients.
You will act as a trusted technical advisor, owning the end-to-end technical relationship with assigned customers—shaping cloud strategy, guiding architectural decisions, and ensuring solutions deliver measurable business value. This is a highly visible, client-facing role requiring both strong technical leadership and excellent stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Cloud Architecture & Delivery
- Design, implement, and evolve secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures on Microsoft Azure.
- Define cloud landing zones, reference architectures, and platform standards aligned to client and organizational goals.
- Lead the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring repeatability, reliability, and compliance.
- Provide architectural oversight across development, testing, and production environments.
- DevOps & Automation
- Champion DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipeline design, release automation, and operational monitoring.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment velocity, reliability, and observability.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce operational overhead and improve platform stability.
- Technical Account Management (Core Focus)
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for designated client accounts.
- Build long-term, trusted relationships with client technical and business stakeholders.
- Own the technical account lifecycle, including onboarding, solution roadmap definition, and ongoing optimisation.
- Translate client business objectives into actionable cloud and DevOps strategies.
- Lead regular technical governance meetings, architecture reviews, and roadmap discussions.
- Proactively identify risks, improvement opportunities, and innovation initiatives within client environments.
- Support account growth through technical insight, solution shaping, and contribution to proposals or statements of work (non-sales).
- Governance, Security & Optimisation
- Ensure architectures align with Azure Well-Architected Framework principles.
- Embed security, compliance, and governance controls into all solutions.
- Advise clients on cloud cost optimisation, performance tuning, and operational best practices.
- Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to internal teams.
- Stay current with Azure, Terraform, and DevOps advancements, bringing new ideas and patterns into client solutions.
- Contribute to internal standards, accelerators, and reusable assets.
- Extensive Azure Experience: Strong background designing and operating production-grade Azure environments.
- Terraform Expertise: Proven experience delivering Infrastructure as Code at scale.
- DevOps Proficiency: Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automation, and monitoring platforms.
- Technical Account Management Experience: Demonstrated ability to own and grow technical client relationships in a consultative or managed services environment.
- Client-Facing Skills: Confident communicator able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Architectural Leadership: Experience making and defending architectural decisions in complex environments.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to align technical solutions with business outcomes.
