The Product Finance Analyst will be a key individual within both the Product business unit as well as the Finance team. Supporting the Month-end, Forecasting and Reporting processes as well as assisting with the co-ordination of the financial and business planning processes. This role reports to the Product Finance Business Partner.
Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of high-quality Product finance reporting and reports for all internal stakeholders, including Month-end reports, and wider business reporting, that facilitates a deep understanding of performance, its growth and profitability drivers.
- Ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue and cost transactions in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- This may include reviewing and analysing contracts with the FBP to determine appropriate revenue recognition.
- Assist the Product Finance Business Partner at month-end with data interrogation to ensure we have detailed and quantifiable explanations for variances to comparative periods.
- Reconciling the forecast with the actuals.
- Work closely with the Business Controlling team at month-end to post working journals ensuring a high-level of accuracy and prompt execution.
- Work through weekly and monthly processes around our partner rebates, cost recognition, sales data accuracy and others.
- Ensure reporting data is stored, collected, and integrated efficiently, aligned with group quality and privacy guidelines.
- Build and maintain financial models and scenario analyses to support product investment, pricing, margin optimisation and strategic decision-making.
- Develop, track and analyse key product and financial KPIs, identifying trends, risks and opportunities, and translating data into actionable insight.
- Develop effective relationships across the business and support finance systems and process improvements and optimisation.
