operation. Our Enterprise Architects work closely with Business Consultants to ensure that technology solutions not only meet

technical requirements but also seamlessly integrate with and enhance existing business operations. They consider the impact

of technology on people, processes, and performance, striving to create solutions that drive efficiency, productivity, and

business value.

ROLE SUMMARY

As an Enterprise Architect at Ultima, you\’re a technical leader who understands the intricate relationships between various

technology stacks and the overall impact on operations. You\’ll work closely with Business Consultants and client stakeholders

to translate business needs into technical specifications, ensuring solutions are architecturally sound, operationally efficient,

and aligned with industry best practices. You\’ll be the go-to expert for all things technical, providing guidance and mentorship

to project teams. You\’ll focus on the \”how\” – how the technical solution will be designed, implemented, and maintained to

deliver on the business objectives and operational improvements defined by the Business Consultant. You\’ll champion

innovation, exploring and evaluating emerging technologies to ensure our clients are at the forefront of technological

advancement while maintaining operational stability.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / ROLE PURPOSE

The core purpose of this role is to ensure the technical integrity, operational effectiveness, and business value of client

solutions. This involves:

§ Solution ownership: Owner of an entire programme or project form a technical perspective.

§ Solution Design: Creating robust, scalable, and secure technical architectures that meet client needs, align with their

long-term IT strategy, and integrate seamlessly with their operational processes.

§ Operational Integration: Ensuring technology solutions enhance, rather than disrupt, existing business operations. This

includes analysing current operational workflows, identifying potential bottlenecks, and designing solutions that

streamline processes and improve efficiency.

§ Technical Leadership: Guiding project teams in the implementation of solutions, ensuring adherence to architectural

principles, best practices, security standards, and operational requirements.

§ Technology Innovation: Staying abreast of emerging technologies and recommending their adoption where appropriate,

considering both their technical capabilities and their potential impact on business operations.

§ Governance & Standards: Establishing and enforcing architectural standards and guidelines to ensure consistency,

quality, and operational efficiency across all client solutions.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

§ Gathering and analysing technical and operational requirements from Business Consultants and client stakeholders.

§ Ownership of prospect and customer project technical portfolio as well as leadership in complex multi-tenet solution

§ Designing and documenting technical solutions, considering their impact on business operations and workflows.

§ Evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies and platforms, considering factors such as cost, performance,

scalability, security, maintainability, and operational impact.

§ Providing technical guidance and mentorship to project teams, ensuring they understand the architectural vision and its

implications for business operations.

§ Conducting technical reviews and quality assurance checks throughout the project lifecycle.

§ Researching and evaluating emerging technologies, considering their potential to improve business operations.

§ Collaborating with vendors and partners to ensure seamless integration of third-party solutions into client operations.

§ Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, design specifications, and

operational guidelines.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

§ Extensive experience in a senior technical role, with a proven track record of delivering complex technical solutions that

integrate with and enhance business operations.

§ Understanding of enterprise architecture principles and frameworks.

§ Strong technical expertise across a range of technologies.

§ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

§ Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical

audiences, typically from product technical SMEs through PMs all the way to the C-suite and board members.

§ Understanding of business process management and operational optimisation principles.

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

§ Excellent stakeholder management across higher levels within customer organisation (senior management & C-suite)

§ Industry certifications relevant to enterprise architecture and/or operations management.

§ Industry certifications relevant to specific technical solutions or solution stacks.

§ Experience in a client-facing consulting role.

§ Real world & hands-on experience with specific industry-leading technologies.
