PEAT+ Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

Are you passionate about demonstrating real environmental impact and driving positive change for climate, nature, and communities?

Ulster Wildlife is seeking a Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to play a pivotal role in the ambitious PEAT+ Project – a cross-border initiative restoring peatlands across Northern Ireland and Ireland s border counties.

As the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, you ll be the key link between data and impact – helping us prove and communicate the difference PEAT+ is making. Working closely with the PEAT+ Project Director, you will:

  • Design and develop the overall monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework for the project.
  • Consult with project partners to finalise monitoring protocols and deliver training.
  • Collect, collate, and analyse data and updates from all partners to track progress against key outcomes.
  • Prepare quarterly reports and impact summaries for funders and stakeholders.

What You ll Bring

  • Experience in project monitoring, evaluation, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in data collection tools, statistical software, and M&E methodologies.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of project management and impact assessment principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – able to engage effectively with diverse partners.
  • Effective organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in partnership and stakeholder coordination.
  • A proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft Office and adaptability to new technologies (such as AI-based tools).

This is a full-time fixed term post to 30 June 2029. Part-time hours (30 hours per week) may be considered.

Salary: Β£28,693 to Β£30,933. Access to employer s contributory pension scheme – maximum 10% per annum
