THE ROLE

Working closely with the BI and Database Services Manager, the postholder will have primary responsibility for managing, supporting, and developing a robust, secure, and resilient database infrastructure that underpins the delivery of enterprise applications. This includes managing Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL database technologies in both on-premise and cloud environments, ensuring they align with business objectives and industry best practices. They will also be responsible for ensuring all database services adhere to security best practices and meet business and data governance controls.

ABOUT YOU

The postholder will be required to have:

  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in an Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; OR
  • Equivalent relevant experience and a professional qualification.

Extensive experience of the installation, configuration, administration, and optimisation of either SQL Server 2019 (or higher) or Oracle 19c (or higher), including the creation of data marts and other data warehouse database structures.
