  • THE ROLE
  • As a member of the Organisation Design and Change (OD&C) team, this role will contribute to programmes of work to better enable the University to achieve the right culture, behaviours, skills, and engagement. This role will specifically be focused on supporting the continued design and implementation of organisation-wide employee voice and engagement activity to ensure staff feedback is consistently sought and acted on. Areas of focus will include:
  • Contributing and supporting the design and delivery of the Universitys employee engagement and voice initiative (Valuing Voices Your Views Matter). In some cases, this role will lead in the design and delivery of appropriate engagement activities.
  • Providing employee engagement expertise, in order to evaluate employee engagement and voice activities across the University.
  • Supporting in the design, deployment and analysis of staff engagement and satisfaction surveys.
  • Supporting in embedding the ongoing Valuing Voices governance mechanisms.
  • Supporting the development of organisational intelligence and knowledge of what motivates, engages, and retains employees, using this to shape engagement activities in line with local and organisational requirements.
  • Identifying leading practice / innovation in the area of employee engagement and voice adopting where appropriate for Ulster University.
  • Making a contribution to the growth of the Organisation Design and Change function and discipline within the institution.
  • Contributing to the delivery of the wider People and Culture operational plan by working closely with colleagues in the other sections of the People and Culture Directorate.
  • ABOUT YOU
  • The postholder will be required to have:
  • A Degree or other relevant professional qualification. OR
  • A Levels or equivalent qualification with a commitment to enrol on and complete a relevant professional qualification in the area of organisational development or HR.
  • Experience in an Organisation Design, Change Management, Strategic Consultancy, Organisational Development and/or HR role within a large complex organisation.
  • Experience of working on employee engagement/voice initiatives or activities. This should include experience of working on staff surveys and/or alternative staff listening activities.
