The postholder will be responsible for recruiting volunteers, managing an exciting volunteer programme and developing positive lasting relationships with young people and migrant communities, among others, using the CAIN archive as a source of inspiration and engagement as part of the Home in Troubled Times project. The postholder will play a crucial role in the success of the project objectives. Whilst a background in the heritage sector isn't essential, a demonstrated interest and proven ability to work with diverse communities will be pivotal. Home in Troubled Times is made possible with the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to make this project a reality and explore new ways for digital archives to help us understand our contested interpretations of the past.
ABOUT YOU
- You will have a good standard of literacy and numeracy as demonstrated by qualifications at GCSE grade C or higher (or equivalent), or by relevant work experience.
- You will have experience of providing good customer service or working with members of the public (paid or voluntary).
- You will have experience of planning and coordinating events, activities or community projects.
