The Role

The postholder will support the University’s Data Protection and Information Compliance Manager in developing, managing, implementing, and promoting policies, procedures, strategies, and services to ensure compliance with all applicable data protection and privacy legislation in the UK, including UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, and other relevant legislation. They will also support compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, developing procedures and services accordingly.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• BTEC HNC/D, Foundation Degree, or equivalent qualification
• A Data Protection Practitioner Certificate
• Substantial relevant experience in an Information Compliance environment (data protection and freedom of information) within a large, diverse organization
