THE ROLE

The postholder will work closely with their line manager to gain a good understanding of processes and systems, after which the postholder will work with their own portfolio and support the team in delivering a sustainable procurement service for the University. The postholder will contribute to continued improvement to help the University achieve its overall objectives and achieve value for money through best procurement practices.

ABOUT YOU

  • A good standard of numeracy and literacy evidenced either by qualification (GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or equivalent) or by work-related activities and experience.
  • Or NVQ Level 2 in Business, Procurement (Supply Chain), or related subjects.
  • Experience with a wide range of IT systems in a professional environment, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of Procurement (including buying or tendering).
  • Evidence of the ability to work on one's own initiative with minimum supervision.
