Ulster Sports Club is looking for a brewer to join the team at Out of Office!
Out of Office Brewing is a brewery and taproom located on the second floor of the Ulster Sports Club. We have an excellent opportunity for a motivated brewer to join our team.
The role
You will work hands-on across all stages of the brewing lifecycle, ensuring our standards for quality and safety remain second to none.
This is a full-time role.
What you’ll do:
- Execute daily brewhouse operations, including mashing, boiling, and wort cooling.
- Manage cellar duties: monitoring fermentations, dry-hopping and beer transfers.
- Perform rigorous Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) and maintain strict hygiene standards
- Carry out basic laboratory checks (yeast counts, gravities and pH readings).
- Assist with packaging lines (canning and kegging) as needed.
- Keep accurate production records.
About you:
- Deep passion for craft beer & minimum 2 years of hand-on experience in commercial production brewery
- Professional brewing qualification (e.g. IBD General Certificate) is a strong advantage
- Strong eye for detail and proactive approach to hygiene and quality control
- Comfortable with physical duties and manual handling e.g. moving heavy loads up to 25KG to 40KG
