Location: USPCA Head Office, Belfast (hybrid working available)

Contract Type: Permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week

For over 180 years, USPCA has been Northern Ireland's leading voice for animal welfare. As the second oldest animal welfare charity in the world, we've built our work on one simple belief: every animal deserves to be treated with respect and care. From rescue and rehabilitation to education and cruelty investigations, none of it happens without the support of businesses who share our vision. That's where you come in.

About the role

We're looking for a confident, commercially minded relationship builder to lead the development of USPCA's corporate partnerships programme. This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys the chase of a great partnership, from the first conversation with a business, through building a compelling proposition, to seeing that relationship grow into something that changes animals' lives.

You’ll take ownership of our corporate and SME partnerships, working closely with the Head of Fundraising to secure new income and build partnerships that go beyond the transactional, including corporate volunteering opportunities that let businesses experience our work first-hand.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building and managing a pipeline of corporate and SME partnerships, from prospecting through to securing sponsorships, charity of the year partnerships, and cause-related marketing initiatives
  • Creating compelling proposals and impact reports that demonstrate real value to our partners
  • Developing a corporate volunteering programme that gives businesses meaningful ways to support our work
  • Representing USPCA at networking events and building USPCA's profile across Northern Ireland's business community
  • Managing income against agreed targets, with accurate reporting and forecasting

What we’re looking for

  • At least 3 years’ experience in corporate partnerships or business development
  • A proven track record of hitting financial targets and delivering real results
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the confidence to build relationships at every level
  • A strategic mindset paired with the drive to get things done
  • A genuine connection to our mission, whether that comes from a love of animals or a passion for purpose-led work

You’ll be joining a growing fundraising team at a charity with a long history and an ambitious future. Every partnership you build directly funds the rescue, rehabilitation and protection work that makes USPCA’s mission possible, work that reaches animals and communities across Northern Ireland every single day.
