ADVANCED BIOMEDICAL SCIENTIST β CLINICAL PATHOLOGY
CELLULAR PATHOLOGY LABORATORY (CPL)
Full-time Contract β 37.5 Hours per week
Starting salary: Β£46,790
We are currently recruiting for an Advanced Biomedical Scientist to join our Clinical Pathology Laboratory team.
The successful candidate will be the lead Biomedical Scientist in the daily running of the Cellular Pathology Laboratory and will ensure the provision of a high-quality, responsive and professional service for patients and users.

Essential Criteria:
Current registration as a Biomedical Scientist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) accredited BSc (Hons) degree or equivalent approved by the HCPC.
Hold the IBMS Specialist Diploma in Cellular Pathology.
And
Either
A) Minimum 5 years post HCPC registration experience in Cellular Pathology Laboratory, minimum 3 years at Band 6 (equivalent) level and MSc Biomedical Science; or an IBMS Higher Specialist Diploma; or be a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science or equivalent.
OR
B) At least 7 years post HCPC registration experience in Cellular Pathology Laboratory, minimum 4 years at Band 6 (equivalent) level or higher and be willing to obtain one of the relevant qualifications listed above, within 4 years of appointment.
