Ulster Carpets is a service‑orientated organisation focused on providing bespoke design‑led woven floorcovering solutions to architects, specifiers and interior designers throughout the world. We wish to appoint a Shift Manager within our Operations Team. As Shift Manager you will have responsibility for the operations of your shift. Shifts operate on a 3‑shift rotation 5 days per week. Your role will be to maximise operational effectiveness through the optimal use of people, machinery, material and methods with commitment to quality, productivity, safety and employee engagement. You will ensure your production area is kept tidy and well maintained, and is running safely, efficiently, at maximum capacity and that all KPIs for your shift are on target while contributing to the overall Weaving Department.
Essential Criteria- 2+ years experience at Manager/supervisory level preferably within product/bespoke manufacturing.
- Organisation and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- IT Skills: Proficiency in using ERP and CRM software and other business applications.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and production planning with the ability to grasp technical concepts and techniques associated with Carpet manufacturing.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a team and motivate your shift.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Problem‑solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve production issues efficiently.
- Results Driven: Ability to drive shift efficiencies and meet department KPIs.
