Main Duties
- Ensure all production equipment and operational areas including outside areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards and adhering to the agreed cleaning schedule.
- Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by your Line Manager only after correct training is given.
- Ensure that cleaning stores are kept clean and tidy and equipment is stored correctly and safely at all times.
- Dispose of refuse and recycling at appropriate points.
- Monitor supplies of cleaning materials and request new supplies in good time.
- Maintain clear records of the cleaning undertaken, the compliance against plan, and note other information or observations that help inform on the overall condition of production equipment and operational areas (e.g. notice of oil leaks).
- Ensure that health hazards, such as spills, are cleaned quickly.

- Relevant experience
- Ability to create and follow cleaning schedules and instructions accurately and keep basic records of cleaning activities.
- Awareness of health and safety practices within an industrial setting
- Ability to maintain organised cleaning stores and monitor supplies
- Ability to work effectively unsupervised and on your own initiative, in an efficient manner with a positive and can-do attitude
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform cleaning duties.
