Contract: 2 year fixed term contract, Term-Time plus 1 week (39 weeks)

Hours: Part-time, 10 hours/week. Flexible working pattern available

Salary: Grade 4, point 5. Full-year salary is £28,583, actual salary for term time working is £5920

We are seeking a proactive, organised, and enthusiastic PE Technician to join our dynamic PE department. About the role

As our PE Technician, you will be the backbone of the department, working closely with the Head of PE to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient running of day-to-day lessons and extra-curricular fixtures.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Equipment & Pitch Prep: Setting up sports pitches, organising equipment for lessons and managing first aid kits.
  • Fixture Logistics: Coordinating transport for weekly away-games and sports fixtures.
  • Department Admin: Managing data entry, photocopying and creating our half-termly sports bulletin in the newsletter to celebrate student success.
  • Kit & Stock Care: Inventory-checking and organising the servicing of sports equipment, as well as managing team kits.
  • Student Support: Providing hands‑on assistance during lessons under the guidance of teaching staff, and helping out at events like Sports Day and Open Evenings.

About You

This role is perfect for someone who is energetic, highly organised and a great team player. Ideally, you will have:

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with staff, students, and transport providers.
  • Basic IT skills for data entry and creating newsletters/noticeboards.
  • A commitment to health and safety, safeguarding, and promoting inclusivity in youth sports.
  • Flexibility and a “can‑do” attitude.
