Responsibilities
- Evaluate requirements: critically assess and challenge project requests to ensure relevance, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Support proposal development, defining required technical steps to enable Sales to create accurate and competitive offers.
- Plan projects and report: create detailed project plans and provide regular, concise reporting to management.
- Plan and coordinate testing activities across internal and external laboratories, supporting certification of doors, windows, façades, and cladding, collaborating with global teams.
- Manage timelines, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met through strong organization and prioritization.
- Maintain documentation: prepare and keep accurate, complete, up-to-date project documentation in compliance with certification standards.
- Support management and continuous improvement: assist in audits, data review, identify improvement opportunities, develop training plans, and mentor new colleagues.
- Engage customers and build relationships, strengthen collaboration, ensure excellent service delivery.
Qualifications
- General engineering background, ideally mechanical or related to building safety.
- Approximately 5 years of related work experience, preferably with building products.
- At least two years of certification experience.
- Audit experience.
- Working knowledge of industry conformity standards for fenestration and cladding (bonus).
- Proven project management skills (e.g., time management, Gantt charts).
- Detailed knowledge of technical vocabulary common to the field evaluation business.
- Excellent communication skills and strong client focus.
- Positive attitude, open and cooperative, teamwork skills.
- Experience with TIC (Testing, Inspection & Certification) services (strong asset).
- Travel up to 10% for site audits.
