We are now hiring for a Laboratory Technician to join the team, where you'll get the opportunity to perform hands‑on testing, write reports for customers and help the team maintain accreditation standards. Responsibilities
- Helping to set up the laboratory ready for testing
- Reviewing test plans prior to testing
- Undertake SAR testing of a range of wireless electronic devices
- Take part in the analysis of test results and assist the Engineers with writing test reports
- Assist the team in maintaining accreditation standards such as equipment and site maintenance, ensure adequate record keeping, assist the other Engineers, and expediting technical reports
- Update the company work monitoring systems with accurate details and job status for each item of work for which the Engineer is responsible
- Meet customer delivery requirements in all respects
Qualifications
- HNC or a Degree in a relevant subject, e.g. Engineering
- 6 months - 1 year hands‑on testing experience, either with SAR or equivalent such as RF (Radio) EMC or other Cellular testing
- Knowledge of some of the following SAR test standards: EN 50360, EN 62311, EN 50566, EN 62209-1/-2/-1528, EN 50383/50385, FCC SAR KDB's publication, IEEE1528, RSS 102
- Excellent communication skills, both within the organisation and potentially with customers
- Hard working attitude and a flexible outlook
- Able to work well within a close‑knit team, but also happy working independently
