Join our team in Barcelona as our new Certification Project Engineer for Steel Protection/Passive Fire Protection (all genders). Help us build innovative solutions and make the world safer! Responsibilities- Independently manage Steel Protection/Passive Fire Protection projects by analyzing customer needs, defining project scope, and establishing requirements for cost, timeline, and samples.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to understand testing processes, international standards (EU/US/UK), and support third‑party certification efforts.
- Communicate with clients to promote services, address technical questions, explain UL requirements, provide cost estimates, and negotiate timelines and sample needs.
- Develop appropriate test programs by reviewing documentation, evaluating samples, and applying UL standards.
- Identify non‑compliance issues and inform clients of required changes or scope adjustments.
- Coordinate complex lab activities, preparing instructions and data sheets for technicians and setting completion dates.
- Travel as needed to conduct or witness testing at client sites.
- Engineering degree (Built Environment, Fire Safety, Chemical, Material Science or Mechanical).
- 3+ years’ experience in Fire Safety testing/projects, ideally in Passive/Steel Protection.
- Knowledge of third‑party certification, UKCA/CE marking, and EN standards is a plus.
- Strong teamwork and project management skills.
- Fluent in English.
