UL Solutions is a leading management and technical consultancy in the renewable energy industry, serving a diverse client portfolio that includes many of the world’s leading energy developers and investors.
We are currently seeking a Regional Commercial Manager to expand our renewables advisory business in the EMEA region .
As part of the commercial and sales organization, your responsibilities will include:
- Generating revenue across all services within EMEA.
- Achieving regional sales targets for Solar, Wind, and BESS service lines.
- Leading the sales team to meet KPIs and sales objectives.
- Identifying new business opportunities and growing the pipeline.
This role will be based in the UK but will oversee renewables advisory activities across the EMEA region.
Responsibilities
- Achieve growth targets by engaging with potential developers, investors, and stakeholders in the renewables sector to understand their investment, development, and financing plans, and identify opportunities for support.
- Secure new transactions with existing and new clients, including technical advisory for M&A transactions, energy advisory, and asset advisory services for wind onshore, solar PV, and BESS projects.
- Develop business growth plans and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with the Renewables Advisory Business Manager.
- Identify potential new clients and establish positive relationships with technical leads.
- Contribute to proposal development, defining scope, client deliverables, and budgets to meet client expectations.
- Conduct market, client, and opportunity analyses as needed.
- Participate in conferences, webinars, and events to promote UL Solutions\’ brand and services and to develop client relationships.
- Expand the customer portfolio proactively, responding to RFPs, RFQs, and PQs.
- Manage the sales pipeline through to contract signing.
- Develop regional client account plans and monitor news related to these clients for proactive engagement.
- Lead client engagement at executive and middle management levels for large customers.
- Develop and implement customer relationship plans aligned with business goals.
- Supervise sales pipelines and forecasting activities.
- Stay informed of market developments and trends.
- Manage the performance of direct reports through goal setting, coaching, and feedback, ensuring policy adherence.
- Support and motivate sales team members by sharing industry knowledge and sales techniques.
- Be accountable for the performance of multiple teams across disciplines or locations.
