In this Laboratory Engineer role, you will perform hands-on SAR testing on wireless devices and help maintain accreditation standards. You work closely with a small team within UL Solutions’ safety science domain, delivering accurate results and clear reports for customers. You will set up equipment, review plans, and analyze findings to support safe, compliant product testing. This role offers hands-on technical challenge, growth through UL University, and a chance to influence emerging wireless technology in a secure, standards-driven environment.

Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare laboratory equipment for testing
- Perform SAR testing on a range of wireless products
- Review test plans and support test execution
- Analyze results and contribute to technical reporting
- Maintain laboratory accreditation, equipment and documentation
- Keep project records up to date and ensure timely delivery to customers
Key requirements
- 1–2 years hands-on testing experience in SAR or RF EMC/Cellular testing
- Knowledge of SAR test standards (e.g., EN 50360, EN 62311, EN 50566, EN 62209-1/-2/-1528, EN 50383/50385, FCC SAR)
- Excellent communication skills with internal teams and customers
- Hard-working attitude and flexible outlook
- Ability to work in a close-knit team and independently
