We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Sales Executive to drive business growth for our Fire Safety Testing & Certification services across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for a consultative sales professional who thrives on building relationships, uncovering customer needs, and delivering solutions that help organizations bring safer products and systems to market.

5+ years of successful B2B sales experience, ideally in field sales, business development, or account management.

  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets and driving sustainable business growth.
  • Experience selling into complex customer environments and managing multiple stakeholders throughout the decision-making process.
  • Industry experience within the Built Environment sector, including areas such as fire detection and suppression systems; fire alarm systems; building materials; personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Experience selling Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) services or other technical, compliance-driven solutions is strongly preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and close business.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the UK (approximately 50–75%).

The salary range for this position is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and other factors. This position is eligible for additional sales incentive with a target payout of 55% of base salary. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Drive new business development by identifying, targeting, and engaging prospective customers across the fire safety and built environment sectors.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, industry events, and social selling activities.
  • Lead customer discovery conversations to understand business challenges, technical requirements, and purchasing drivers.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow revenue within existing and new customer accounts.
  • Present UL Solutions' Fire Safety Testing & Certification services as trusted solutions that support compliance, quality, and market access objectives.
  • Manage the entire sales process, including qualification, proposal development, pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and deal closure.
  • Leverage Salesforce (or equivalent CRM) to manage opportunities, track sales activities, and deliver accurate forecasts.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Support, Inside Sales, and Engineering teams to develop compelling customer solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional UL Solutions services across the broader portfolio.
  • Build long-term customer relationships and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the customer journey.
  • Travel regularly to customer sites and industry events to strengthen relationships and support business growth.
