Location: Birmingham
Zero Hour Contract
What you’ll do:
Take control of OTP and Trackside Plant operations on rail projects, reporting to the company POS Representative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate your assigned OTP safely and efficiently on‑site.
- Hold and maintain a valid company Authority to Work Card for the specific machine type, make, and model you operate.
- Coordinate with Machine Controllers, Crane Controllers, POS Reps, other plant operators, and site personnel affected by equipment movements.
- Follow instructions from the controlling Machine/Crane Controller and POS Representative.
- Understand operational limits, especially during lifting operations when ALO (Adjacent Line Open) is in effect.
What we’re looking for:
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Competence to operate only the OTPs you are qualified for.
- At least 2 years’ experience operating OTP machines.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Organised, methodical approach to work.
