JOB TITLE: Sweeper Driver/Operator

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

What you’ll do:

The Road Sweeper Driver plays a vital operational role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments. Operating specialist road sweeping vehicles, you will deliver high-quality, efficient services on highways, footpaths, and commercial premises, adhering to client commitments and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operate road sweeping vehicles to clean designated areas in accordance with schedules.
2. Manually remove obstructions that could damage the machinery.
3. Perform routine vehicle checks and report defects.
4. Undertake cleaning duties of the sweeper under your control.
5. Complete daily logbooks and service records accurately.
6. Report maintenance issues promptly.
7. Carry out manual sweeping and litter picking as needed.
8. Comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
9. Maintain professionalism when representing Ground Control.
10. Support other grounds maintenance tasks as required.

What we’re looking for:

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to drive in all weather conditions and terrains.
• Full UK Driving Licence with Category C (Class 2).
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Experience operating large vehicles safely.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or nights.
• Good physical fitness.
• Understanding of Health and Safety at work.

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience in environmental services or highways maintenance.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Experience with Left-Hand Drive vehicles in the UK is advantageous.
