We're looking for a Project Manager to join Ground Control's growing EV Infrastructure team, supporting the delivery of on-street electric vehicle charging projects across Surrey and West Sussex. This role is about much more than managing programmes. You'll work closely with local authorities, operational teams, contractors and delivery partners to coordinate projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring they're delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Whether your background is in utilities, highways, civils, infrastructure or EV, you'll bring strong project management skills, enjoy solving problems and be confident managing multiple workstreams at once. What we're looking for

  • Experience managing construction, infrastructure, utilities, highways, civils or EV projects.
  • Experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects or workstreams.
  • Strong organisational and project planning skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with subcontractors and operational delivery teams.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and CDM principles.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel across Surrey and West Sussex.

Desirable

  • Experience delivering public highway or on-street infrastructure projects.
  • Experience within EV charging infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Street Works or NRSWA.
  • Experience working with local authorities.
  • Understanding of utility providers, DNOs or electrical infrastructure.
  • SMSTS qualification.
  • Civils or electrical background.
