Field Team Resourcing Manager - Workforce Mobilisation & Engagement

Location: National

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Field Team Resourcing Manager to lead the mobilisation, engagement, onboarding and compliance of field teams across our Infrastructure division.

This is not a traditional internal recruitment role. Instead, you'll focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with field-based operatives, subcontractors, labour providers and delivery partners, ensuring we have skilled, compliant and project-ready teams available to support Infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland.

You'll manage our Resourcing Coordinator and work closely with operational teams, suppliers and contractor partners to ensure workforce requirements are met safely, efficiently and at pace.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys relationship management, workforce planning, contractor engagement and continuous process improvement within a fast-paced operational environment.

What you'll do

  • Lead national attraction, engagement and mobilisation activities for field teams supporting Infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with operatives, subcontractors, labour providers and agency partners to build sustainable workforce pipelines.

  • Ensure field teams are fully onboarded, compliant and ready to deploy to projects.

  • Oversee right-to-work, medical, training and compliance requirements.

  • Line manage and develop the Resourcing Coordinator.

  • Manage relationships and performance with labour suppliers, subcontractors and contractor partners.

  • Own and maintain Skillko data, access and user support, ensuring workforce records remain accurate and up to date.

  • Monitor workforce availability, compliance and training activity through regular reporting.

  • Work closely with operational leaders to understand project demands and proactively plan workforce requirements.

  • Review and improve mobilisation, onboarding and engagement processes to enhance efficiency and workforce experience.

  • Use supplier and workforce performance data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.

What you'll get

  • Career development and progression opportunities.

  • Employee benefits and discounts.

  • A supportive and collaborative working environment.

  • The opportunity to play a key role in delivering major Infrastructure projects.

  • The chance to shape how field teams are engaged, mobilised, onboarded and supported across the business.

  • Opportunities to develop your leadership, workforce planning and operational management expertise within a growing Infrastructure division.

What we're looking for

  • Experience managing field-based workforce resourcing, mobilisation or contractor engagement within an operational environment.

  • Experience building relationships with subcontractors, labour providers, agencies or field-based teams.

  • Experience running workforce engagement events, recruitment campaigns, roadshows or industry networking activities.

  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

  • Good understanding of onboarding, compliance and workforce management processes.

  • Experience managing labour suppliers, agency workers or contractor networks.

  • Confident using digital systems and managing workforce data.

  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience managing or developing a direct report.

Desirable

  • Experience within Infrastructure, Rail, Utilities, Construction, Arboriculture or other field-service environments.

  • Understanding of workforce compliance, training and competency management.

  • Knowledge of quality, health & safety and regulatory requirements within operational environments.

  • Experience managing supplier performance, service levels or workforce KPIs.

  • HR, Recruitment or Workforce Planning background.

Benefits;

  • Competitive salary – aligned with your skills and experience

  • Performance-linked bonus: Bonus opportunities aligned to your level and contribution.

  • Pension scheme – helping you plan for the future

  • Recognition schemes – celebrating and rewarding great work

  • Private GP service – fast, convenient access to medical support

  • Life insurance – providing added peace of mind

  • Subsidised gym membership – supporting your health and wellbeing

  • Holiday buy scheme – purchase up to 5 additional days of annual leave
