We are looking for a confident and experienced Site Manager to join our Rail & Infrastructure team, supporting the delivery of arboriculture and de-vegetation projects across Nottinghamshire. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with the Senior Site Manager and Contracts Manager, helping to drive projects forward safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You will be part of a supportive and experienced Rail & Infrastructure team, working on meaningful projects with real impact. What you will be doing:
- Working closely with the Contracts Manager to oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring all works are delivered safely and in line with regulations.
- Carrying out regular site audits and inspections to maintain high safety and quality standards.
- Creation of task briefs and risk assessments.
- Managing changing workloads while supporting and guiding site-based teams to keep productivity high.
- Pricing works and managing project delivery from start to finish, ensuring outcomes exceed expectations.
- Scoping sites thoroughly, assessing constraints and requirements, and producing clear, detailed task briefs.
- Liaising with clients to address queries, manage expectations and maintain strong working relationships.
- Managing working hours and planning possessions to maximise efficiency while prioritising team wellbeing.
- Ensuring smooth project delivery by resolving issues quickly and effectively as they arise.
What we are looking for:
Essential:
- Proven experience in arboriculture and de-vegetation pricing of works.
- IT literate through Word and Excel.
- Experience managing teams of Site Supervisors and Site Managers.
Desirable:
- Rail sector experience.
- Existing Site Managers holding SMSTS, IOSH, NEBOSH, First Aid +F and COSS.
